SIA “Latvijas Piens” is a milk processing company with an average production volume of 250 tons of milk per day. The company's activity in Latvia is focused on making of cheese and industrial dairy products.
What is “Latvijas Piens”
“Latvijas Piens” was founded in 2012 by merging milk cooperatives “Trikāta”, “Dzēse” and “Piena Partneri”. Since 2017, the main shareholder of SIA “Latvijas Piens” is “Eximo Agro-Marketing” – a subsidiary company of the German concern “Fude + Serrahn Milchprodukte” – which has been operating in Latvia since 1994. The company has occupied a stable position in the European sector of industrial dairy products by now and has established strong cooperation with the producers of dairy products in the Baltic States, including Latvia.
The growth of “Latvijas Piens” is supported with long-term experience of “Fude + Serrahn Milchprodukte” and “Eximo Agro Marketing” in production and trade of dairy products including stabilizing and optimizing of the current business processes. The producers of dairy products in Latvia take the advantage of long-term cooperation opportunities and steady milk acquisition prices. The new shareholders are actively investing into the enterprise and plan to double the production of cheese and industrial products and adapt it to the demands of the European Union and other export markets. Investments contribute to the competitiveness, competitiveness creates demand. The newly-acquired markets both in Europe and outside the European Union have shown an increasing interest to the quality dairy produce from Latvia.

ABOUT “FUDE + SERRAHN MILCHPRODUKTE”
“Fude + Serrahn Milchprodukte” was founded in 2001 and consists of nine milk-processing companies in Germany producing industrial dairy products, butter, cheese and yogurt. The annual turnover of the concern amounts to 740 million EUR and the trade volume amounts to 800 000 tons per year.
